Key Responsibilities and Requirements

Do you have an interest in building great solutions to automate Infrastructure Security Operations? Do you love working in an agile cross functional environment in a fast-growing department? Would you like to work in a company that offers the speed of a startup but within the stability of an established market player?

As a senior Python developer, you will be part of our development team for mispa’s software in our newly established Development and Automation division. You will join at an early stage and have the opportunity to shape our development processes. Together, we will create new ways for our customers to manage their security infrastructure.

Within 1 month you will

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of our problem space and the solutions we offer.
• Familiarize yourself with our current software stack and tools.
• Convert initial user stories into working implementations.
• Participate in refinement sessions to develop story ideas and design solutions.

Within 3 months you will

• Contribute significant features to our codebase.
• Produce innovative workflows and ideas for solving problems.
• Participate in code and feature reviews.
• Ensure our code is high quality by writing tests for our automated pipelines.

Within 6 months you will

• Build a deep understanding of firewall management and security topics.
• Expand your horizons by learning new techniques and technologies
• Support other team members with your knowledge and ideas in development
• Initiate new projects and implementations from scratch.

What do we need from you?

• Advanced knowledge of Python with Django or another web development framework.
• Experience in developing software in a commercial environment.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and solving issues efficiently.
• Good knowledge of available tools and effective usage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Python, and 8 years in a software development environment.
• Passion for creating user-friendly solutions.

Good to have:

• Working experience in enterprise security, firewall management, or networking.
• Prior experience in an agile or scrum team.
• Proficiency in generating HTML/CSS using templating systems such as Django templates or Jinja.
• Experience with UI implementation using the Bootstrap CSS framework.
• Skills in creating dynamic user interfaces using JavaScript or TypeScript and/or working with HTML.
